It is now time to book the next reunion, which will be in St Moritz in Switzerland.
Our reunion host will be Thomas Barth and our base will be the Europa Suites Hotel, Thomas’s 4-star hotel in St Moritz-Champfèr.
Besides the days in St Moritz, there will be a Pre-Reunion as well as an Extended Reunion. We hope you will join us!

Pre-Reunion in Zürich, Wednesday September 11
This optional part of the reunion will start with Thomas Barth giving us a Guided sightseeing of Zürich. We meet at 17:00 hrs (5 PM) at Bellevueplatz in front of the Kiosk of Zürich.
After that we are all invited by Thomas and Beatrice to dine at one of their favourite places, Restaurant Emilio, where they have been going since they were 5 years old. There is something for everyone.
Dress casual, jeans… and adapted to weather.
Book the hotel of your liking for Wednesday night. Thomas recommends Central Plaza, a four star hotel just 3 minutes walk from the main train station.
Another nice hotel is Hotel St Gotthard, which is also very close to the train station.
Train from Airport to Zürich HB Main Station takes 12 Minutes and costs +/- 7 CHF. Airport Taxi 60-75 CHF depending on where the hotels are. Many hotels also have Airport shuttle service.
Thursday September 12
For those of you who will travel by train from Zürich, we meet at 9:45 (exactly!) at the Meeting Point of Zürich Main Station. No need to get a ticket, Thomas has included that in the price for the reunion.
We board the train to Landquart at 10:07. We will there change to the train to St Moritz that leaves at 11:20. We will have a reserved wagon and a light lunch will be served on the train before we arrive at 13:09.
A bus will be waiting for us and takes us to Europa Suites Hotel.
It is then time to relax. Swimming, sauna, hammam, fitness room, walk on the natural reserve Hochmoor in front front of the hotel or on the board of the River Inn approx. 300 m from the hotel.
At 18:00, we will all meet for a Welcome Reception in Kaminzimmer „Cheminée Room“ of the hotel. Followed by dinner at La Vita Restaurant. Those who like to take a nightcap at the Allegra Bar are welcome.
Friday September 13
We will start the day with breakfast from 7:00 in La Vita Restaurant in the hotel. At 8:30 we all meet in front of the hotel for our first adventure – a tour to Corvatsch, the highest point in St Moritz. We’ll go by bus and then by cable car to finally reach 3307 m and enjoy Engadin Panorama Lakes and Glacier views.
If you want you can visit ORMA Whisky Distillery. At 3003 metres above sea level, it is the highest distillery in Europe.
After a bus ride to Pontresina we will arrive at Val Rosegg National Park and from there go by horse drawn cart „Kutsche“ to Rosegg Restaurant and will be served a selection of local specialties and drinks.
It is then time for the Promenade Obligatoire and return to Pontresina on foot, a 6,5 km downhill walk of one hour and forty minutes. This is on a good path with no climbing or vertical drops, but good shoes are required (sneakers will do). If you rather prefer, you can also go back by horse drawn Kutsche.
A bus ride will take us all back to Hotel Europa Suites followed by well earned rest time. Maybe a visit to the pool or whatever you fancy.
At 19:30 we all meet for dinner at the hotel. With some Music of our time, share a good drink, cocktail, tea whatever fancies you.
Foremost: Remember and share time and talk/walk with one another and a short meeting FoB future decisions. Then good night.
Saturday September 14
Breakfast as yesterday at La Vita Restaurant. At 10:00 a bus will take us to Muottas Muragl Funicular.
Take the Funicular from the bottom station to the top. Lunch will be individual or in groups with a picnic box from Hotel Europa. There is also a very good restaurant for those who like, however this is not included in our lumpsum.
Take a walk around and enjoy a talk with your friends. After the good time on top walk down or take the funicular down again. Go by our bus back to the hotel at 16:00 or use public transport individually. At the hotel it is time to rest, visit the pool, sauna, hammam or the fitness room.
Saturday night is Soirée night. We will start at Allegra Bar in the hotel at 19:00 for an aperitif. Dinner will be in Steak and More Restaurant Fondue (choose between meat, cheese or vegetarian). Followed by Soirée „Dance“ to proper music from the time at École Des Roches.
Dress-code: Soiree Headband, Scarf as you fancy.. and let‘s Party!! École Des Roches 66-74 style.
Sunday September 15
Breakfast as usual at La Vita Restaurant.
Starting at 10:00 you have several choices for the day – including a surprise option if you would like to participate. You’ll find out…
1) Museum Segantini Visite (local famous painter) followed by excursion St Moritz Village (City) and boating on lake.
2) E bike or Mountainbike trails.
3) Fishing.
4) Mountain hike for advanced.
5) Sailing/boating on St Moritz lake
6) Alternatives individually planed
7) Golf in Samaden or Zuoz
8) Forest Trail with obstacles high in the trees
9) Horseback riding
10) Thomas surprise
…or anything else you would like to do.
In the evening at 19:00 our Oktoberfest starts.
– Meet up in the Oktoberfest Tent in front of the hotel
– Live Music from Bavaria Germany and beer from the Münchner Hofbräuhaus
– Bavarian food Brezel, Haxen, Weisswürste…
– All you can drink and eat, we”ll have a good time!

Monday September 16
The last breakfast at La Vita Restaurant before we part.
We regret those who leave for Crans or other destinations…..
You may stay as long as you wish with us the Europa Suites Hotel welcomes you! The standard rates discount of 20% applies. Also you may come earlier and use hotel before the reunion.
We at Europa Suites Hotel will assist individually a personalized program, there are many things to do other then the action foreseen at the reunion…
Optional Extended Reunion in Crans-Montana, September 16 to 19
Many of you have expressed an interest in also paying a visit to our old “home” in Bluche and Crans-Montana. Due to this popular demand, we have organized an option for an extended reunion of a few days in Crans-Montana.
You may read more about the extended reunion and book ASAP but latest by June 15, 2024.
Cost
The cost per person for this FoB Event in St Moritz starting from the train ride from Zürich to St Moritz and until you leave on the Monday 16th September is a total Lumpsum 1280,— CHF/person. This includes all food, drinks, wine and beer, rooms, excursions and exciting Surprises!!! Please book early as they have to be organized.
You may cancel without charge until 14 days before the Reunion. Please book ASAP but latest by end of March 2024 using the registration form you’ll find here:

A bit of advertisement for Europa Suites Hotel: If you plan to go skiing in this or another winter as a family & with Friends or as individuals, just let Thomas know and he will assist you. Cost of Ski Pass is 47,— CHF per day if you stay with at ESH and if you mail Thomas sufficiently before, your rooms shall be upgraded also for close friends!
